Oma and I journeyed out to Island Rock for their annual Rock-it Power bouldering comp Saturday and it was a super fun time. I love how psyched everyone gets at a good comp. So much positive energy and so many people absolutely crushing it.
Man, it’s been a long time!
Finishing school kept me busy this spring, but I still managed to get out and have some fun.

Yesterday I finally sent my longest running and hardest personal project. A boulder problem called Overburdened at Nine Corners.
What a day at McKenzie!
I only get up to Saranac Lake once or twice a season. Usually it’s solo, but yesterday I got to climb up there for my first time with the whole SAC crew. The extra psych and sea of Organic pads definitely made a difference, as I managed to dispatch a couple old personal projects fairly quickly.
This post comes a bit late because I just got my hands on the video footage, but I’m happy to report that in early October I managed to nab the second ascent of Whip Tide at Nine Corners!
Oh man, how good is this season going to be?!

Big thanks to Manuel, Gabe, Tim and Summer for visiting me up in the Daks this past weekend. It was a hot one, but we made the most of it with a slew of sends, beautiful camping, swimming, and general outdoor awesomeness.
The spring season, short but fantastic!
The snow lingered this year but in late April we got a few weeks of excellent weather and made it count. Me, Taylor, Jut, and a few others went to Nine Corners on several occasions and put in a lot of work on the hard lines.
